Dying Light

- Reviewed on  PS4  - Dying Light released on January 26th, 2015. Published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developed by one of my favorite developers, Techland, Dying Light is a zombie filled extravaganza waiting to be played! With well thought out characters and great backstories for everyone, Dying Light's story is a very memorable journey filled with many twists and turns.  Plus, with their (Techland) parkour mechanics (I never experienced before now), Dying Light has a whole plethora of new approaches to slaying the endless hordes of zombies.  This review WILL have  Major Spoilers  so keep that in mind before continuing... Taking place in the fictional city of Harran, Dying Light puts you in the shoes of Kyle Crane, a GRE (Global Relief Effort) agent, sent into the zombie infested city to extract important files on the outbreak. The story has such a simple beginning, middle, and end, yet Techland added so much character / story devel...

Aliens: Fireteam Elite

- Reviewed on  PS4  - Aliens: Fireteam Elite released on August 24th, 2021. Engulfed with the plethora of Alien / Xenomorph lore, Aliens: Fireteam Elite is an action-packed thrill ride for the horrifying, alien species. Whether you tackle the missions solo or with others, Aliens: Fireteam Elite is sure to keep you on your toes from the second you press start.  This review WILL have  Major Spoilers  so keep that in mind before continuing... Aliens: Fireteam Elite puts you in the shoes of a United States Colonial Marine, where you will tackle on hundreds, if not thousands, of Xenomorphs (and there alter forms).  The customization in Aliens: Fireteam Elite is pretty extensive. The game itself starts off with you creating your own Colonial Marine and I found that very enjoyable from the start. The big sell point of Aliens: Fireteam Elite (to me at least) is / was the multiplayer aspect.  However, playing Aliens: Fireteam Elite solo, slaying all the xe...

Batman: Arkham Asylum

- Reviewed on  PS3  - Batman: Arkham Asylum released on August 25th, 2009. Being Rocksteady Studio's first Batman title, Batman: Arkham Asylum is / was a revolutionary (for its original release era) superhero adventure, that expanded all possible mechanics and features to the very core! Combining a blend of everyday game mechanics (like tutorials and combat) with the true nature of Batman (and his universe) simply blew me away and is strong throughout the (average) 12-hour story.  This review WILL have  Major Spoilers  so keep that in mind before continuing... When The Joker is apprehended quite easily by the Caped Crusader, Batman opens the campaign by driving in the Batmobile to Arkham Asylum, the main setting for this title.  Little did Batman know, (SPOILER) The Joker had a well thought out plan to have a "party" on the island, consisting of endless enemies and popular villains from the Batman universe.  My absolute favorite part of Batman: Ar...
