The Walking Dead: No Man's Land

- Reviewed on  Mobile  - The Walking Dead: No Man's Land released on October 7th, 2015.  This mobile game is one of many Walking Dead games on mobile devices and in my opinion, No Man's Land is a massive hit and is the best so far to hit mobile stores! This review WILL have  Major Spoilers  so keep that in mind before continuing... The Walking Dead: No Man's Land is a turn-based strategy game where you control a team of survivors to eliminate Zombies (Walkers) and earn rewards such as Money, Gas (required to do missions), Food, Gold, and Crates (later in game).  Survivors in this game are randomized characters, male and female, and you can customize these characters with different outfits that have appeared on the television show The Walking Dead.  You can upgrade survivors' equipment as well including their Weapons and Armor. You can change their names and also train them to become more powerful and withstand more damage.  One feature I love...

Luigi's Mansion

- Reviewed on  3DS  - Luigi's Mansion released on September 14th, 2001.  Luigi’s Mansion originally haunted GameCube consoles on September 14th, 2001. Fast forward seventeen years, and on October 12th, 2018, it made a spooky comeback on the 3DS—giving me the perfect excuse to relive one of my all-time favorite Nintendo games. This one’s close to my heart and definitely one of the best in the Mario universe. This review WILL have  Major Spoilers  so keep that in mind before continuing... So, Nintendo’s big move was finally giving Mario’s brother Luigi his own spotlight.  But instead of a typical platformer, they flipped the script and turned it into a ghostly adventure—a charming little horror game with plenty of personality. The premise is simple yet clever: Luigi wins a mysterious mansion in a contest he never entered.  The catch? It’s all a trap set by King Boo, who wants to add Luigi to his ghostly gallery after being trapped by Professor E. Ga...

Paratopic

- Reviewed on  Switch  - Paratopic released on March 15th, 2018.  Winner of the "Excellence in Audio" category in 2019, at the Independent Games Festival Awards, Paratopic is a short, first person, horror game that takes you on a wild ride if I must say so!  This review WILL have  Major Spoilers  so keep that in mind before continuing... Right off the bat you are told that this indie game has no save points, and you must complete the game in one sitting.  I was not a fan of the no saving in the game, but I quickly realized that this game can definitely suck you in as soon as you press start.  The one hour it took me to beat this game felt like two hours and one major factor of this is the slow pace of one scene throughout the game.  These long periods of sitting in a car driving for example, provided a very eerie feeling about the scenario.   I wouldn't say these long periods of time in one setting is a bad thing but to a new p...

Destroy All Humans!

 - Reviewed on  PS4  - Destroy All Humans! released on June 21st, 2005.  The remake (updated graphics) of Destroy All Humans! released on July 28th, 2020.  For this review, I bought the original PS2 version of the game from the PlayStation Store on my PS4. The story / plot is the same between both versions, the graphics are / is the only difference. This review WILL have  Major Spoilers  so keep that in mind before continuing... To start off, the name of this title insinuates that you do not play as the human race. Instead, you take control of an Alien named Cryptosporidium, or Crypto for short.  I found Destroy All Humans! a very enjoyable / humorous game. Of course, due to the fact this title was made and released in 2005, the dialogue can be a little cheesy and doesn't hold up in today's standards.  Nonetheless, this game provides many memorable tasks. To progress in the story missions, you have to collect the required amount of DNA....
